One of the most common challenges faced by business owners is that of finding employees who waste their time, come to work to play games, to tick the register and then go home after adding very little value towards the strategic objectives of the organisation.
Recently, I was asked by a Client of mine to give a short talk to their employees around sharing the organisation’s vision with them and checking for alignment. He was shocked that even at management levels, no one understood the organisation’s vision the way that they should have been understanding it.
Whose fault is this? It is obviously the business owner’s. We set up businesses with a vision (which stays in our heads), then we employ people to come and help us make this vision a reality. Surprisingly, we never tell them what this vision is, but miraculously expect them to make positive contributions towards something which they don’t know.

We will work with you to conduct ‘vision sharing’ sessions with your staff and their performance agreements can be properly aligned with this vision. Then you will start to see alignment between contributions by people you pay salaries to every month and the vision you have for the business.
